Pune - The cultural capital
Pune has earned itself the sobriquet of the ‘Oxford of the East’ as also the ‘Cultural Capital of India’. Pune is a city renowned for its Quality Education and comes across as a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The city keeps itself abreast with the changing times. Pune has embraced education and knowledge for the purpose of excellence, economic upliftment and social change.

India is known for its Unity in Diversity and Pune is a sterling example of that maxim. Here, students of all of cultures, nations, caste, creed and religion are treated as one. Pune is also, known for its historic yet modernistic University of Pune.

Besides education, Pune is also known for its pleasant climate, a safe and secure environment as well as the multifarious entertainment facilities.Multiplex cinema theatres, sports clubs, multinational eateries and outlets such as Barista & McDonalds, beautiful parks, historical monuments and excellent cuisine; there’s never a dull moment in the city!
Accommodation Assistance
The hostel, as of now, has the capacity to accommodate 400 female students and 300 male students. The rent for hostel accommodation, which is fully furnished, will be Rs. 3,000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) per month.
The hostel is a landmark in Pune and located in Tathawade on the Mumbai - Bangalore bypass.It is inside the campus. It provides all the facilities including a mess, a gymnasium, a coffee shop and a shopping centre .

 

Until one more hostel is constructed, for which action is in hand, the hostel accommodation is provided for the first year students only, for the duration of June to April . At present about 1000 senior students (both boys and girls) are day scholars. This in one way trains the students to live in different environments which in any case they have to do when they join the corporate world.The present inmates of the hostel will be vacating the hostel by 30th April 2010 i.e. before they go for their summer projects.

Dining Services

Mess facility will be available and the cost for the same will be borne by the students. The exact cost will be negotiated by the Students Council. A monthly expenditure of Rs. 4,000/- towards mess and allied expenditure can be catered for in your budgeting. However, mess facility for all the students will be organized by the society for first 15 days. A sum of Rs. 2,000/- will be remitted for this period on account of mess charges for these 15 days after which they can avail the mess facility according to their choice in the two Messes located inside the Campus.

Health Services

The institute has a in house quality medical services to the students at a concessional charge. Those seeking medical assistance can have access to the doctor at any time of the day. Students also undergo a thorough medical checkup once a year.

Life on Campus
The students start their day at 7.30 am with the practice of “Kaizen” and end it at 8.30 p.m. with their dinner. BIMHRDians get their “Happy Hours” during the day to relax and re-energize in the afternoon. Click here for more details of Life at Campus
Student Committee

In addition to the students council, committees of students have been formed which ensure the smooth functioning of the institute in liaison with the authorities. The following committees are in existence:

First Month Induction
A structured 1 month induction program is carried out on admission to the various programs. The institute draws faculties from the corporate world for conducting workshops in the institute so that the future managers can hone on the knowledge and experience of the veterans.
